Dr. Hassan Mahmud is an economist with over 30 years of public service experience. He was the Director, Monetary Policy Department, Central Bank of Nigeria. In this capacity, he supervises and coordinates the formulation of technical inputs for the design and implementation of monetary policy. Prior to this role, he was the Group Head, Macro-prudential Analysis in the Financial Policy and Regulation Department of the Central Bank of Nigeria, where he oversaw the conduct of off-site macro-prudential surveillance, appraisal of banking industry financial soundness indicators, and evaluation of industry stress test. From 2010 to 2014, he was the Special Advisor to the Governor on economic policy and research, where he played a key role in shaping the Bank’s economic and monetary policy decisions, particularly in the areas of foreign exchange and inflation rates developments. He is an active member of NAEE and IAEE.
Former Attorney General & Commissioner for Justice, Ministry of Justice, Edo State. Professor Omorogbe is a graduate of the University of Ife and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1979. She is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration. Professor Omorogbe is the first African member of the Academic Advisory Group (AAG) of the Section on Energy Environment and infrastructure Law of the international Bar Association
Ben Obi is a Professor in the Department of Economics, University of Abuja. Over the years he has acquired great knowledge in teaching and research, as well as consultancy. Between 2009 and 2011, he was a Senior Economist to the office of the Chief Economic Adviser to Mr. President. Prof. Obi, while under the Office of the Chief Economic Adviser was part of the team that developed the National M & E Framework under the then National Planning Commission and participated in various committees in the drafting of the Vision 2020: 20 document as well as the fifth National Development plan which happens to be the first implementation plan of the Vision 2020: 20. Prof. Obi was engaged by the then Ministry of Budget and National Planning-National Project Coordinating Unit for State Employment and Expenditure for Results Project (SEEFOR) as Change management consultant to the SEEFOR project covering Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, and Rivers State. Prof. Obi is an author and reviewer of several articles published in both local and international journals. He has reviewed several articles for the CBN’s Economic and Financial Review (EFR). Prof. Obi is quantitatively analytical. He is computer literate, and belongs to various academic associations such as the Nigerian Economic Society (NES), Nigerian Association for Energy Economics (NAEE) an affiliate of The International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE). He is on the Network of African Economic Research Consortium (Kenyan), the Global Development Network (GDN, India), and International Development Economics Associates (IDEAs).
